William Moorcroft Art Nouveau Leaf and Berry Globular Vase
Description
A William Moorcroft Art Nouveau globular vase, featuring a wide mouth and a body extensively decorated with naturalistic, raised relief motifs of stylized leaves and berry clusters in pale yellow and cream tones, highlighted with darker outlines against a mottled background of earthy greens, blues, and browns. The ceramic material is glazed stoneware or earthenware with a semi-matte finish. The base is clearly stamped ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ and bears a prominent, handwritten signature ‘W. Moorcroft’, followed by the inscription ‘Potter to H.M. The Queen’ and a small impressed circular mark.
