Three Leeds Pottery Creamware Candlesticks in the Neoclassical Style including a Dolphin Form
Description
A composite garniture of three Leeds Pottery creamware candlesticks, comprising a matching pair and a single decorative piece. The pair features a fluted pillar-form design set upon stepped square bases, while the third candlestick is modelled as a stylised dolphin or sea creature resting on a circular pedestal base. Each piece is finished in a classic off-white creamware glaze. The square-based examples bear a moulded manufacturer’s mark depicting a bird within a circle, characteristic of the Hartley Greens Leeds Pottery. These items exemplify the refined Neoclassical aesthetic associated with English creamware production. Heights range from approximately 23 cm to 28 cm (9 to 11 inches).
