A Colclough Bone China Royale Pattern Tea Service
Description
An English bone china tea service by Colclough, decorated in the Royale pattern. The design features a traditional Imari-inspired palette of cobalt blue and iron red, accented with intricate gilt floral and scroll motifs. Each piece is finished with a scalloped rim and fine gilded edging. The service comprises multiple teacups, saucers, and side plates. The base of the pieces bears the printed backstamp for Colclough China, Made in Longton, England. This set represents a classic example of mid-20th century Staffordshire tea ware production. Side plates measure approximately 16 cm in diameter; saucers 14 cm in diameter; teacups 7 cm in height.
