Description
A Victorian Neoclassical style silver-plated table lamp base, likely of English origin. The piece features a central urn-form body decorated with vertical gadrooning and twin ornate foliate-moulded scroll handles. The urn is set upon a wide, circular spreading base featuring intricate chased and repoussé sunburst and foliate motifs, raised on four decorative scroll feet. The item has been converted for electrical use and is currently fitted with a modern socket and a tan-coloured power cord. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible.
