Description
A decorative ceramic group comprising a pair of Chinese porcelain ginger jars and two stacks of assorted plates. The jars are of globose form with matching domed covers, decorated in the Famille Noire style with vibrant hand-painted lotus and peony blossoms in shades of pink, blue, and green against a high-gloss black ground. The first stack of plates is topped by a charger in the traditional Imari palette, featuring dense floral and geometric motifs in underglaze blue, overglaze iron-red, and gilt enamels. The second stack includes plates decorated with detailed polychrome landscape and village scenes in a European aesthetic. One jar bears a contemporary auction label.
