A Collection of Victorian and Later Curiosities Including Agate Pillboxes, Inkwell, and Jewellery, 19th/20th Century
Description
A diverse assembly of antique and vintage personal effects and writing accessories. The lot includes three stone-set pillboxes: an oval and a rectangular box featuring banded agate lids, and a smaller oval box set with a blue stone cabochon. Jewellery and ornaments include a large white paste-set buckle of ornate design, a Scottish-style floral brooch set with multiple banded agate cabochons, a trefoil red stone charm, and a miniature gold-tone pistol charm. Utility items feature a travel-sized metal inkwell with a hinged lid, a silver-tone spoon with a figural scene embossed in the bowl, and a long-handled button hook with a decorative segmented handle in varying colours. The collection is completed by a miniature enamelled frame with floral motifs, a green stone-set pin head, and a metal watch key. No manufacturer marks or signatures are clearly visible on the items.
