A William Moorcroft for Liberty & Co. ‘Eventide’ Tudric Pewter Mounted Vase, dating from the Arts and Crafts or Art Nouveau period. This footed vase features a tapering glazed ceramic body atop a hammered pewter base. The ceramic portion is hand-decorated with a stylized design of mushroom-like forms or trees in earthy tones of green, brown, and red against a vibrant reddish-orange ground, complemented by a dark blue glazed interior. The pewter base is clearly marked with the inscriptions “MADE IN ENGLAND,” “TUDRIC,” “MOORCROFT,” the model number “01353,” and “MADE BY LIBERTY & CO.”
