A Chinese Bronze Tripod Censer, bearing a Xuande Mark
Description
A lidded tripod censer, cast in bronze, featuring a globular body resting on three zoomorphic legs. The body is adorned with ornate, raised stylized motifs and fitted with two fixed loop handles. The domed lid is pierced with a reticulated design and surmounted by a mythical creature finial, likely a foo dog. The base bears a rectangular cast seal mark, “宣德年製” (Xuāndé Nián Zhì), translating to “Made in the Xuande reign.” A modern white sticker with “888.2” is present on the lid.
