Description
A 19th Century Pine Blanket Chest, a rustic, rectangular wooden chest, likely crafted from a softwood such as pine. It features a simple, slightly molded plank lid and a raised plinth base. The exterior presents a brass-toned keyhole escutcheon on the front and a dark metal carrying handle visible on one side. Two white stickers are affixed to the front, bearing the numbers ‘187’ and a partially obscured ‘118’ or ‘188’. The interior features simple metal strap hinges.
