Lot 174:
A Studio Pottery Leaf Pattern Vase Signed A
Description
A Studio Pottery Vase. This flattened spherical or ovoid ceramic vessel features a dark black and Grey, heavily textured body with fine horizontal striations. Organic, smooth leaf-like motifs are incised or applied, wrapping around the form. The narrow circular opening at the top is surrounded by a lighter, possibly glazed or metallic-finished rim, exhibiting an off-white to light brown hue with subtle iridescence. The style suggests a modern or contemporary craft aesthetic. The underside clearly features an incised ‘VA’ or ‘V A’ mark.
