Description
A Liverpool Chelsea porcelain ewer, depicting the ‘Mistress & Maid’ pattern, circa 1780. The white porcelain body features a scalloped rim and a stylized scroll handle. It is decorated with polychrome overglaze enamels in an East Asian figural landscape style, showing a standing figure in traditional attire amidst a flowering tree and foliage. A red-brown border pattern adorns the rim.
