Description
A pair of Westport Meakin hand decorated bone china decorative plates, signed by D. Wallace. Each round plate features a hand-painted still life fruit motif and a scalloped gilded rim. The first plate depicts two pears surrounded by blackberries and raspberries, while the second showcases a cluster of plums and green grapes. Both plates are signed ‘D. Wallace’ on the front in the lower right quadrant. The reverse of the plates bears a black manufacturer’s mark consisting of a crown symbol above ‘WESTPORT MEAKIN’, followed by ‘BONE CHINA’, and an artist’s palette with brushes, under which ‘HAND DECORATED’ is inscribed.
