A Collection of Meccano and Tri-ang Model Railway Power Supplies and Rolling Stock, mid-20th Century.
Description
A collection of vintage model railway equipment featuring manufacturers Meccano and Tri-ang. The lot includes a Meccano Transformer No. T20 housed in its original blue cardboard box, designed for 20-volt electric locomotives. Also present is a Meccano Control Unit C2, constructed with a black metal casing, featuring a rotary speed dial and reverse toggle switch, marked Made in England by Meccano Ltd. London. The power equipment further includes a Tri-ang P.5 Power Controller by Rovex Scale Models Limited, finished in a grey hammered-effect metal with a red control dial and original cord. Rolling stock comprises a yellow plastic Shell Lubricating Oil tank wagon, a green plastic open gondola wagon, a red and cream plastic goods van, and a red die-cast metal well wagon. The collection is completed by two railway signals of mixed plastic and metal construction, an electrical connector, and various lengths of wiring.
