Description
A collection of ceramic tableware consisting of several mugs and a stack of plates, primarily featuring British royal commemorative themes alongside naturalistic and sporting motifs. The collection includes white bone china and fine earthenware mugs of varying forms, including a large footed tankard.
Several commemorative mugs are present, featuring polychrome transfer-printed designs. One mug is inscribed The 25th Anniversary of the Coronation 1953-1978. A pair of footed mugs feature a central purple cartouche with a cherub and the inscription THE PRINCE AND PRINCESS OF WALES 1982. Another mug commemorates the silver jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary, inscribed with the dates 1910-1935 and featuring their portraits.
