A Collection of Antique Brass Industrial Instruments including a Roberts Pump
Description
A collection of antique and vintage brass industrial and scientific instruments. The collection features a large heavy-duty brass cylinder pump with a turned dark-stained wooden handle, which incorporates a secondary smaller cylinder attached to the side via a brass bracket and pipe. An oval embossed brass maker plate on the main cylinder reads QUALITY PUMPER ROBERTS. Also included is a smaller cylindrical brass hand pump fitted with a finger ring pull. The collection further comprises two industrial thermometers: a large industrial thermometer housed in a brass casing with a glass front and a black-painted mounting stem, featuring a scale graduated from 0 to 500 Fahrenheit; and a smaller brass-cased thermometer with a red cap at one end and a long metal probe at the base, featuring a silvered scale plate marked F and graduated from 0 to 220, alongside an embossed emblem depicting a crest with a crown.
