Description
An assortment of vintage playing cards and related gaming ephemera. The collection features a double-deck set of Empire Patience No. 2019 playing cards by Piatnik, Vienna, housed in its original blue and gold pictorial cardboard box. Included is a Fax-Pax Forty Great Britons educational card set, with its red box displaying a portrait of Winston Churchill. The lot also contains a deck of playing cards in a clear and yellow plastic case featuring a map of Menorca, and another green cardboard box bearing the Piatnik logo. Additional items comprise a black textured card case embossed with two pigs, a partial deck of floral-backed cards, a small buff-coloured cardboard box with handwritten text reading W. Abraham, a red leatherette case, a small white box with a black and white illustration, and a black pocket folder or diary.
