A Pair of Beswick Glazed Ceramic Horse Figurines
Description
A pair of glazed ceramic figurines produced by Beswick, England, consisting of a mare and a matching foal. The figures depict heavy horses, characteristic of a Shire or Clydesdale breed, with feathered legs. Both figurines are finished with a high-gloss glaze and feature a brown and white skewbald coat pattern. The underside of the larger figurine displays a circular black ink stamp for Beswick England and a second partially legible stamp above it. The foal has a circular factory stamp on the underside that is largely obscured by the glaze. A white inventory label with the number 9777 is present on the side of the mare.

Foal length: approximately 8 cm.
