A Pair of Pan Am Corporation Common Stock Certificates, 1988
Description
A pair of original Pan Am Corporation common stock certificates, issued for 100 shares each to Philadep and Co. and dated 14 July 1988. Both documents specify incorporation under the laws of the State of Delaware and bear individual serial numbers Y 352848 and Y 352849. The certificates feature an ornate blue-inked border and a central vignette depicting a classically draped female figure in flight against a background of clouds. Printed signatures of C. Edward Acker as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, and Roger A. Cooke as Secretary, are present. Each certificate is countersigned by an authorised officer for the transfer agent and registrar, Morgan Shareholder Services Trust Company. These items represent a period in the later history of the historically significant aviation pioneer, Pan American World Airways. The certificates are uncancelled.
