Mid-20th Century Queen Anne Style Walnut Veneered Bow-Fronted Corner Display Cabinet
Description
A mid-20th-century Queen Anne revival style bow-fronted corner display cabinet. The piece is constructed with walnut veneers over a secondary timber carcass. It features twin bowed glass doors, each inset with three horizontal astragal glazing bars that divide the glass into four rows of panes. The interior is fitted with three fixed wooden shelves. The interior back panels feature an applied or painted landscape scene depicting a woodland or parkland setting with green and brown trees against a pale sky. The cabinet is raised on four short cabriole legs terminating in rounded pad feet. A central lock is located on the meeting stiles of the doors. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the exterior of the piece. A small white auction lot label numbered 4776 is attached to the left-hand side.
