Early 20th Century Oak Barley-Twist Gateleg Table
Description
An early 20th-century oak gateleg table in the Jacobean Revival style. The rectangular top is constructed with a central fixed section and two D-shaped drop leaves featuring rounded corners. The base is composed of six spiral-turned barley-twist legs, two of which act as gates to support the leaves when extended. The legs are connected by a series of low-level rectangular stretchers and terminate in small metal casters. The piece is of solid oak construction throughout. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the underside or frame.
