A Collection of Mixed Ceramics including a Greenfield Commemorative Bowl and a Turquoise Art Pottery Vase
Description
A collection of assorted earthenware and stoneware ceramics from the 19th and 20th centuries. The lot includes a flared commemorative bowl featuring a monochrome transfer print of a building, inscribed below as Old Wesleyan Chapel Greenfield. A large, bulbous lidded jar with twin handles displays a transfer-printed band of geometric and circular motifs in black and gold around the shoulder, accented with gilt; an auction label numbered 5758 is attached to the side. A mid-20th-century style decorative vase features a spiral-moulded body and a horizontally ribbed neck with a turquoise glaze. Also included are a lidded jug with a mottled brown glaze and incised bands, a plain white two-handled cup with a gold rim, an oval platter with a green landscape transfer print, and a blue and white floral transfer-printed jug. No maker’s marks are visible on the items.
