Two Vintage Portable Transistor Radios including a Soviet Sokol RP-204 and a Piccolo Pocket Radio
Description
Two vintage portable transistor radios. The first is a Soviet Sokol (СОКОЛ) model RP-204 (РП-204) housed in a dark grey plastic cabinet with a perforated speaker grille. It features a linear analogue tuning dial with Cyrillic script for Long Wave (Д) and Medium Wave (СВ) bands, marked 2 ДИАПАЗОНА ДВ-СВ. The radio includes two circular control knobs and is accompanied by its original green cardboard box and a black carry strap. The second is a Piccolo pocket transistor radio in a brown plastic case with a rectangular slotted speaker grille. The unit features a semi-circular analogue tuning dial for Medium Wave (MW) and Frequency Modulation (FM) bands. It bears the Piccolo manufacturer logo and includes an attached black cord wrist strap.
