Description
This graphite and charcoal drawing on wove paper depicts a hyper-muscular demonic figure in a heroic fantasy style. The creature is rendered with exaggerated muscular definition, horns, and sharp teeth, brandishing a large curved scimitar with decorative scrollwork on the blade. To the right edge of the composition is a vertical banner containing the title BEAST of BRITAIN in stylized lettering. The work features a personal inscription in the lower left corner reading To Rob / TRAIN LIKE A BEAST!! and is signed Dorian Yates, the name of the renowned six-time British Mr. Olympia bodybuilder. The drawing is housed in a basic clip-style frame.
