Lot 43:
A Set of Five Jacobean Revival Barley-Twist Oak Dining Side Chairs
Description
A set of five matching dining side chairs designed in the Jacobean Revival style. The frames are constructed from oak with a dark-stained and polished finish. Each chair features a tall, rectangular upholstered back panel and a padded seat. The chairs are supported by barley-twist front legs on block feet, connected by a matching barley-twist front stretcher and plain H-pattern stretchers for stability. A decorative carved rail with scrolled foliate motifs is positioned at the base of the backrest. The upholstery consists of a pale teal textured fabric, finished with a coordinating decorative gimp trim along the borders. The construction features traditional block and turned elements typical of early 20th-century revivalist furniture. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the frames.
