A Pair of Royal Doulton Porcelain Figurines, Lily HN 1798 and Wendy
Description
A pair of glazed porcelain figurines manufactured by Royal Doulton, depicting two young girls in traditional costume. The first figurine, titled Lily, shows a figure in a tiered pink dress with a white shawl featuring blue floral motifs and a pink bonnet with a blue brim. The base displays a green Royal Doulton factory mark comprising a lion atop a crown over a circular stamp. It is printed with the name Lily and includes handwritten green characters HN 1798 and the initials MW. The second figurine, titled Wendy, depicts a figure in a blue dress with a pink shawl, carrying a yellow basket of colourful fruit. She wears a matching pink bonnet with a blue brim. The base features a green Royal Doulton backstamp with the name Wendy and Doulton & Co. Limited. It includes registration numbers 808305, 11040, 170/36, and 6636.
