A Pair of Assembled 1:48 Scale Plastic Model WWII American Fighter Aircraft
Description
A pair of assembled and finished plastic scale model aircraft representing two prominent American fighters from the Second World War. The first model represents a Republic P-47D Thunderbolt Bubbletop, finished in the markings of Tarheel Hal. The aircraft features a silver-tone fuselage with a blue nose section decorated with white stars and Tarheel Hal nose art. The cowling is finished with yellow and red bands, while the wings and rear fuselage display black and white invasion stripes. The tail and rear control surfaces are painted orange. It is equipped with a four-blade propeller and three-point landing gear. The second model is a North American P-51D Mustang, finished in a silver-tone scheme with a red and yellow chequered nose cowl, characteristic of the 357th Fighter Group. The model includes a bubble canopy, underwing drop tanks, and a four-blade propeller with yellow-tipped blades. Both models are constructed from moulded plastic and are professionally assembled and painted.
