Description
A trio of vintage world stamp albums dating to circa 1910. Each album contains an assortment of international postage stamps mounted on pre-printed, illustrated pages. Visible issuing territories include Belgium (labeled BELGIEN – BELGIUM – BELGIQUE), Bulgaria (BULGARIEN – BULGARIA – BULGARIE), Gibraltar, Italian Somaliland (ITALIENISCH SOMALILAND), and the Congo Free State (KONGO-STAAT – CONGO FREE STATE – CONGO INDEPENDANT). The collection features a variety of definitive portrait issues and pictorial issues, including landscape and nautical themes. The stamps are present in several colours, including red, green, blue, and brown, with most examples being perforated. The assortment includes used specimens with circular date stamp (CDS) cancellations as well as potentially unused examples. The printed pages include historical dates such as 1888, 1891, 1894, and 1909. A yellow tape measure is present in the image for scale.
