An Early 20th Century Art Deco Oak Cased Grandmother Clock
Description
An Art Deco grandmother clock featuring a dark-stained oak case of architectural skyscraper form. The stepped hood encloses a square brushed metal dial with applied Arabic numerals in an Art Deco typeface and two winding apertures. The trunk is flanked by vertical reeded pilasters, set upon a stepped rectangular base. The clock is fitted with a mechanical movement designed for both timekeeping and striking. An auction lot sticker numbered 501 is present on the upper right side of the hood.
