A 1970s Wurlitzer Baltic 4 Coin-Operated Jukebox
Description
A Wurlitzer Baltic 4 jukebox manufactured by Deutsche Wurlitzer GmbH circa the late 1970s. The unit features a moulded burnt-orange plastic or glass fibre front bezel with a textured finish, mounted to a dark wood-effect laminated cabinet. The lower front features a silver-toned metal speaker grille. The control interface includes two vertical rows of numbered orange plastic selector buttons situated to the left of a glass-enclosed display area for record title strips. The red Wurlitzer logo is visible on the upper left panel, and the model designation Baltic 4 is printed on the lower glass pane. The interior houses a vertical carousel mechanism designed for playing 45rpm vinyl records. The chassis is a solid-state transistorised model featuring various circuit boards, a transformer, and associated wiring harnesses.
