A Framed Poulain Chocolatier Advertising Print for Boulogne-sur-Mer
Description
A framed promotional print for Poulain Chocolatier, featuring a reproduction of a Belle Époque travel poster for the French coastal town of Boulogne-sur-Mer. The central illustration, after the original artwork by Henri Gray (pseudonym of Henry Boulanger, 1858-1924), depicts three women in traditional regional costume at a harbour with a coastal town in the background. The artwork is signed H. GRAY in the lower right corner. The poster includes promotional text reading BOULOGNE SUR MER in large stylized letters, 3 heures de PARIS _ 3 heures de LONDRES, 24 TRAINS par JOUR, and MAGNIFIQUE CASINO. On the right-hand side is a red vertical band with the Poulain logo and text reading CHOCOLATIER DEPUIS 1848. The print is presented in a multi-coloured card mount with teal and pink borders, housed in a glass clip frame.
Height (approximate): 35.5 cm (14 inches).
