Lot 259:
Two Agate Bead Necklaces Featuring a Large Amount of Carnelian and Banded Agate
Description
This lot comprises two separate necklaces featuring a large amount of agate beads. The first is a continuous rope-length necklace composed of rectangular tablet-shaped carnelian beads in translucent shades of reddish-orange, separated by small gold-toned metal spacer beads. The second necklace is a single strand of graduated banded agate beads in varying shapes, including polished spheres and barrels with distinct black, grey, and white ribbon-like patterns, alongside several dark grey disc-shaped beads. The collection displays the natural variation and banding characteristic of the semi-precious stones. An inventory tag numbered 6182 is attached. No hallmarks or maker’s marks were observed on the beads or stringing.
