A Collection of Six British Navy Pusser's Rum Ceramic Decanters and Bottles
Description
A collection of six collectible ceramic rum decanters and bottles produced for British Navy Pusser’s Rum, attributed to Wade Pottery. The assortment includes two large ship-style decanters, one miniature ship’s decanter, two hip flasks, and one handled flagon.
The two large decanters include one Nelson Ship’s Decanter, featuring a paper tag and a circular vignette depicting Admiral Lord Nelson and a ship, with a base banner inscribed in Latin MARE SEPTENTRIO ATLANTICUM. The second large decanter is a 1.0-litre version featuring the standard Pusser’s Rum crest with the Union Jack, marked as 95.5 Proof.
The miniature ship’s decanter mirrors the larger form and bears the Latin inscription MARE INDICUM & MARE SEPTENTRIO PACIFICUM around the base. Two 200ml ceramic hip flasks feature silver-toned screw caps and labels stating 95.5 Proof and 54.5% Alcohol, with one flask displaying an anchor motif above the crest. The collection is completed by a deep blue and white ceramic flagon with a single handle, bearing a similar British Navy Pusser’s Rum crest. Labels indicate the rum is distilled and bottled by Pusser’s Ltd., British Virgin Islands.
