Description
Arts and Crafts copper lidded jug by Joseph Sankey and Sons (JS and S). The jug features embossed Art Nouveau floral motifs, a flat copper handle, and a hinged lid with a fluted shell-like design. The base is stamped with the maker’s initials and the registered design number 403941, dating the design to circa 1903. The assortment is completed by a circular copper charger with a broad rim featuring embossed geometric and scrollwork decoration, and a 19th-century mahogany tea caddy of rectangular form with a domed lid, containing two interior tea compartments.
