UK 1970-1990 Assortment of Commemorative and First Day Covers
Description
This assortment of UK philatelic covers is presented in a ring binder album with clear protective sleeves. The collection contains several football-themed commemorative covers including a 1970 Blackpool FC promotion cover with a Blackpool circular date stamp (CDS), a 1973 Common Market Match cover with a Wembley pictorial postmark, and 1979 match covers for the F.A. Charity Shield and Brighton and Hove Albion versus Arsenal. Also included are Royal Mail First Day Covers for the Gallantry issue (11 September 1990) and the Christmas issue (13 November 1990), both featuring Leeds CDS cancellations. The 1990 covers are hand-addressed to a recipient in Morley, West Yorkshire. The stamps include Machin head definitives and various commemorative issues in denominations including 7p, 20p, 22p, 26p, 31p, and 37p.
