A Toshiba SL-10 Slimline Stereo Component System with Matching Speakers
Description
This vintage Toshiba component hi-fi stereo system, manufactured in Japan, comprises four individual slimline units and a pair of matching bookshelf speakers. The set includes a model SL-10 front-loading stereo turntable, a stereo cassette deck with soft touch operation and LED peak level meters, a stereo pre-main amplifier with dedicated controls for volume, balance, treble, and bass, and a three-band FM/MW/LW analogue tuner. The electronic components feature a brushed silver-tone metallic finish characteristic of the early 1980s. The amplifier includes function selectors for tuner, phono, tape, and auxiliary inputs. The cassette deck is compatible with metal tapes and features a mechanical tape counter. Each electronic component is clearly marked with the manufacturer name Toshiba. The matching speakers are finished in a dark wood-effect laminate with black fabric grilles featuring a thin decorative border.
