Steepletone Multi-Band Portable World Receiver Radio
Description
A vintage Steepletone multi-band portable world receiver radio, housed in a black textured plastic cabinet with chrome-finished metal protective side rails. The unit features a large vertical slide-rule dial covering FM (88–108 MHz), MW, LW, and multiple shortwave (SW) bands. Mounted to the top is a rotating Direction Finder antenna with an integrated degree scale for navigation or signal optimization. The front control panel includes an analogue Tuning/Battery meter, rotary knobs for Tuning, Fine Tuning, Volume, and Tone, and toggle switches for AFC (Automatic Frequency Control), Function (Radio/PA), and Power. A red push-button for the dial light is located above the black metal mesh speaker grille. The radio is equipped with a top carrying handle and a pink and black patterned nylon shoulder strap. This is a solid-state transistorized unit and includes an attached mains power cord.
