Late 19th Century Walnut Vienna Regulator Style Wall Clock
Description
A late 19th-century wall-mounted regulator clock in the Vienna style. The case is constructed from wood with a dark finish, likely walnut, and features architectural elements including turned side pilasters, a moulded pediment, and decorative carved floral bosses. A long glazed door provides a view of the dial and internal components. The circular dial is set within a brass bezel and comprises a cream-coloured chapter ring with black Roman numerals and a minute track. The centre of the dial features ornate pressed brass decoration and includes a subsidiary dial below the twelve o’clock position. Two winding holes are present on the dial, indicating a twin-train mechanical movement. A large circular pendulum is visible within the case, currently resting at the base. A small white rectangular sticker with the handwritten number 501 is attached to the right side of the case.
