An Austro-Hungarian Bronze Bravery Medal (Bronzene Tapferkeitsmedaille) produced during the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I, dating to the First World War. The obverse features the right-facing bust of the Emperor in field marshal’s uniform, accompanied by the circumscription FRANZ JOSEPH I. V.G.G. KAISER V. OESTERREICH. The reverse is inscribed DER TAPFERKEIT within a laurel wreath, set against a background of crossed standards.
