A Collection of Hand-painted White Metal British Army Military Miniatures
Description
A collection of hand-painted white metal military miniatures depicting British Army personnel of the 18th and early 19th centuries. The assortment includes line infantry and Grenadiers wearing mitre and bearskin caps. The figures are shown in various poses, including a soldier in a firing position with a flintlock musket. Musicians are represented by two drummers, one in a red coat with white lace and another in a green-faced coat with a green and white hooped drum. Two standard bearers are included carrying Union Flags of the post-1801 design. The collection also features two mounted cavalry officers in full dress uniform on chestnut and dark bay horses. Each figure is finished in polychrome paint with textured bases depicting grass or stone. One central infantry figure has a white paper adhesive label attached with the handwritten number 9703.
