A Collection of Hand-Painted British Military Figurines and Busts
Description
A collection of hand-painted military miniatures primarily depicting British Army personnel from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The assortment includes two full-standing figurines and five busts. One figure represents a rifleman of the 95th Regiment of Foot (Rifles) wearing a bottle-green jacket and carrying a Baker rifle. Another figure depicts a line infantryman in a red coatee and grey trousers with a Belgic-style shako in a marching pose. The busts include a Highland soldier in a feathered bonnet with red, white, and green dicing, an officer in a black bicorne hat with white facings and gold lace, and three additional infantrymen in red coatees featuring stovepipe and Belgic shako patterns. Each item is mounted on a turned and polished circular wooden base. One base features a white rectangular label with the handwritten digits 5703.
