Description

This collection of fraternal regalia is associated with the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB), specifically the Wakefield and Dewsbury Province. The items are attributed to Brother Harry Laycock, a high-ranking member within the order. The set includes various ceremonial sashes, a ritual pouch, a collar with jewels, and a black carrying case.

The sashes are constructed from velvet and silk with intricate gold and silver bullion embroidery. A maroon velvet sash is inscribed WAKEFIELD and DEWSBURY PROV. P.G.P. 2001. A purple velvet sash commemorates the 80th Anniversary of Principia Lodge No. 4283 (1922-2002) and is inscribed BRO. H. LAYCOCK. A dark maroon sash is dedicated to Brother Harry Laycock R.O.H., noting his rank as Provincial Grand Primo (P.G.P.). The collection also features light blue silk sashes, one marked PRESIDENT for the Wakefield Dewsbury Province, and a white silk sash for an HONORARY MEMBER of Lodge No. 10073, featuring a double-headed eagle emblem in bullion work.

A ritual pouch or apron in light blue is decorated with a bullion RAOB emblem, a winged heart, and a heavy gold bullion fringe. A red collar is included, mounted with gilt metal and enamel jewels, including the initials GLE (Grand Lodge of England). The items are housed in a black leatherette carrying case with the letters ROH (Roll of Honour) in silver-tone metal on the front.
