Tatra Model 9198 Classical Acoustic Guitar
Description
A mid-to-late 20th-century classical acoustic guitar manufactured by Tatra in the former Czechoslovakia. The instrument features a wooden body with a natural finish top and darker stained back and sides. It is constructed with a slotted headstock housing chrome-finished open-gear tuners with white plastic buttons. The fretboard and tie-block style bridge are made from dark-stained wood. An internal rectangular paper label visible through the soundhole identifies the maker as Tatra and specifies the model as number 9198. The guitar is currently fitted with three nylon strings and three metal-wound nylon strings. A small white adhesive sticker with the number 501 is present on the lower bout of the soundboard. This lot includes a black nylon soft-shell gig bag with a carrying handle.
