A Framed Multi-Signed Theatre Poster for A Doll's House at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, 1998
Description
A framed promotional poster for the 1998 production of Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House, staged at the Stephen Joseph Theatre (SJT) in Scarborough. This production used the version by Christopher Hampton and was directed by Alan Ayckbourn, running from 21 October to 21 November 1998. The poster design features a central illustration of a birdcage against a purple and pink gradient background. The surface is signed in ink by members of the cast. Identified signatures include Claire Price (who performed the role of Nora), Nicola Sloane, Richard Derrington, and Christopher Naylor. An additional signature to the right appears to be Alison Tory or Fory. Other partially obscured signatures are also present. The poster is presented in a wide, flat-profile frame with a silver-grey finish. A small white inventory sticker marked 3676 p is present on the glass.
