Description
A set of four illustrations in watercolour and gouache on paper, each depicting anthropomorphic cats in various whimsical scenes. The compositions include a riverside fair with a thatched cottage, a theatrical or ballroom performance, a nocturnal rooftop gathering under a starry sky, and a domestic kitchen scene. Each of the four panels is signed Diane Elson in the upper right corner. The works are housed together in a multi-aperture cream mount within a light wood frame featuring a thin gilt inner slip. The paper appears to be a standard wove artist paper.
