A modern Art Deco style patinated resin lady lamp by Widdop Bingham and Co Ltd
Description
A modern decorative electric table lamp produced in the Art Deco style, distributed by the British giftware wholesaler Widdop Bingham and Co Ltd. The lamp features a central figure of a nude female dancer in a dynamic leaping pose, holding a length of flowing drapery. The figure and the integral stepped rectangular base are made from a cold-cast resin material with a dark brown patinated bronze-effect finish. A circular frosted glass disc shade is mounted behind the figure to diffuse the light. The underside of the base is felt-lined and retains original manufacturer labels for Widdop Bingham and Co Ltd, Oldham, identifying the piece as model PL-6 with a 230V-50Hz 25W maximum rating. The lamp is fitted with a black plastic power cord, an inline switch, and a standard UK three-pin plug. This design is frequently attributed to the maker Crosa.
