Description
A mid-century modern teak extending dining table manufactured by A.H. McIntosh & Co Ltd of Kirkcaldy, Scotland, circa 1960s. The design, often attributed to Tom Robertson, features a rectangular top with rounded corners and a central split to accommodate internal extension leaves. The tabletop is constructed with a matched teak veneer and solid teak moulded edges. The piece is supported by four tapered legs that integrate into the side rails with distinctive shaped shoulders. A rectangular metal maker’s plate is fixed to the underside, featuring the Mc logo and the text A.H. McINTOSH & CO LTD, KIRKCALDY SCOTLAND.
