Description
An original promotional theatre poster for the musical production Spend Spend Spend! A Yorkshire Legend, advertising its run at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds, from 23 May to 27 June. The graphic design features a multi-panel pop-art style layout with repeating portraits of Viv Nicholson, depicting her in a blue hat and holding her 1961 Littlewoods Pools winning cheque for 152,319 pounds. The production is credited to Steve Brown and Justin Greene, inspired by the book by Viv Nicholson and Stephen Smith. The cast list includes Rosemary Ashe, Sophie-Louise Dann, and Nigel Richards. The poster is housed in a simple wooden frame with a grey painted finish.
