A Collection of Decorative Ceramics and Bessie Pease Gutmann Collector Plates
Description
A collection of decorative ceramics and porcelain collector plates, contained within a plastic storage bin and two separate stacks. The lot includes approximately 6-8 circular porcelain collector plates featuring transfer-printed illustrations of children and dogs bearing the printed signature of Bessie Pease Gutmann. These plates feature gilded rims and are fitted with wire spring-tension hangers. Based on web consensus, these illustrations are associated with collector series such as Days Gone By issued by the Hamilton Collection, Danbury Mint, or Reco.
The lot further includes a plastic storage bin containing an assortment of decorative items. Among these are several bone china floral posies and clusters featuring hand-modelled and painted petals. Figurative items include a white matt-glazed parian-style figure of a reclining child and a yellow-glazed earthenware figure of a laughing Buddha.
