A George V Sterling Silver Two-Handled Trophy Cup and Plinth London 1933
Description
A hallmarked sterling silver trophy cup of footed, twin-handled form. The body of the cup is engraved with the inscription CYRIL HARDY TROPHY. The silver is hallmarked on the upper body with the lion passant, the leopard’s head for the London assay office, and the date letter s for 1933. The cup is presented with a separate black circular plinth base featuring a silver-coloured metal band. This band is engraved with a chronological list of winners beginning in 1980, including multiple entries for the Naylor family.
