A Trio of Mid-20th Century GPO-Style Rotary Dial Telephones
Description
A trio of mid-20th-century rotary dial telephones in the style of the British General Post Office (GPO) 700 series. The collection includes one two-tone model with a grey upper casing and dark brown base and handset, featuring a clear plastic rotary dial with a central paper label printed with red emergency instructions for fire, police, and ambulance. A second unit is constructed from cream-coloured moulded plastic. The third telephone features a green base with a contrasting cream-coloured handset. All units are constructed from moulded thermoplastic and feature standard clear plastic finger wheels. These items are characteristic of British domestic telecommunications equipment from the 1960s to the 1980s.
